Terms of Service

1. Service Description

CalorieBot ("the Service") is a platform for coaches to run online group coaching inside Discord. It provides:

• A Discord bot for food logging with AI photo and text calorie estimates, workouts, steps, weight and check-ins
• A web dashboard where coaches follow their clients' progress
• Challenges, leaderboards and reminders
• Payment pages that let coaches sell memberships through their own Stripe account
• Connections to Fitbit and Apple Health

2. User Accounts and Access

2.1 Server-Based Access

• Access is granted on a per-Discord-server basis
• Fees for coaches who sell through CalorieBot are set out in section 8
• Server owners and coaches are responsible for managing their members and for how they use their clients' data
• Clients buy coaching from their coach, not from CalorieBot. Questions about a coach's offer, pricing or refunds go to that coach.

2.2 User Eligibility

• Users must be 13 years or older
• Must have a valid Discord account
• Must comply with Discord's Terms of Service

3. AI and Photo Features

3.1 Photo Analysis

• You keep ownership of the photos and text you submit. You grant us permission to process them to provide the Service, including sending them to our AI providers.
• Photos you post are hosted by Discord. We store links to them so you and your coach can see your history.
• Calorie, macro and body-composition estimates are approximate. Accuracy is not guaranteed.

3.2 AI Interactions

• Messages and check-ins are processed by AI providers and stored as part of your history
• We do not use your content to train our own AI models

4. Nutrition and Workout Data

4.1 Data Accuracy

• Users are responsible for verifying nutritional information
• Workout guidance is general and not personalized medical advice
• Users should consult healthcare providers before starting any fitness program
• Peptide, GLP-1 and medication logs and reminders are for record keeping only. Follow your prescriber's instructions.

4.2 Visibility

• Your coach can see your coaching data, and challenge results may be shown to other members of the server

5. Third-Party Integrations

When connecting to third-party services (e.g., Fitbit, Apple Health), you authorize us to access and sync your data. We are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by third-party services.

6. Challenges and Community Features

6.1 Competition Rules

• Challenge participation is voluntary
• We reserve the right to modify challenge rules
• Leaderboard positions are calculated automatically

6.2 Community Conduct

• Users must follow community guidelines
• Inappropriate content will be removed
• We reserve the right to restrict access for violations

7. Liability and Disclaimers

• Service provided "as is"
• No fitness or medical advice
• Not responsible for user-generated content
• Limited liability for service interruptions

8. Coaching Platform: Fees and Payments

These terms apply to coaches and server owners who set up CalorieBot through the web dashboard and sell to their clients through it. Version of September 29, 2026.

8.1 Free period

• CalorieBot is free for 30 days for the coach and up to 3 clients the coach chooses. No card or Stripe account is needed.
• After 30 days, the coach's own access and the free client spots continue while at least one client is paying through CalorieBot. With no paying client, free access pauses and resumes when a client pays.

8.2 Platform fee

• CalorieBot keeps 10% of each sale made through the platform, with a minimum of $2 per paying client per month (or the equivalent for other billing periods), collected automatically through Stripe.
• The lowest price a coach can set is $10 per month, or the equivalent for other billing periods. Discount codes cannot bring a price below it.
• There is no monthly subscription fee. All AI costs are included in the platform fee.
• Stripe charges its own payment processing fees, which are separate from the platform fee.

8.3 Payments and responsibilities

• Client payments go directly to the coach's own Stripe account. CalorieBot does not hold coach funds.
• The coach is responsible for their offers, pricing, refunds, taxes, and their relationship with their clients.
• Coaches can refund their clients. CalorieBot's platform fee on a refunded sale is not returned.
• We may change these fees with notice. Changes apply to sales made after the notice.

8.4 Existing servers

• Servers that started using CalorieBot before these terms keep the plan they signed up for.
